Form U5 is used by FINRA to terminate or suspend registration, and, if relevant, detail why an individual left a firm. A Form U5 must be submitted within 30 days of the individual's employment end date and generally must be filed electronically. Count on your firm to take every hour that they can and to hold off as long as possible. NOTE: The language that is placed on your U5 is negotiable.
