An event has happened to you, not necessarily to your clients. They are fine right now, and likely happy with your services.
Their assets are custody at a well-known institution. You are their broker and have been for years. Nothing has changed in this regard. You may feel that your book may come under attack, but this is nothing new.

Your book is always under attack by advisors inside and outside your firm. Clients are constantly being solicited by banks,
investment firms, private equity sellers and niche players of all sorts.

If you are concerned that a particular individual may solicit your client, let them. It is unreasonable for you to believe that your client will suddenly exit a relationship with you just because of an event that they have little knowledge of, or that this individual may be spinning for their own benefit. 

Be confident in your relationships and know that a few weeks will not make any difference. Let others make the mistake of being opportunistic, while you stay above the fray. Your clients will only draw closer to you – by you making the bold decision to let the solicitors dig their own grave. We will help you approach your clients from a position of strength.
